Major General Ali Kamal, Kirkuk police chief, has contracted COVID-19 and has been under medical observation.

A source, who is close to Kamal, told KirkukNow that  the Kirkuk police chief tested positive for COVID-19 six days ago.

“He was initially in Komari hospital but was later transferred to Azadi hospital, where he is under medical observation,” the source added, without providing the reason why he has not been moved to the coronavirus hospital in the industrial area.

“His health condition is very good,” the source claimed.
