A bullet has put end for the life of a 20-year-old girl from the village of Quli Beg of Shiwan sub-district northwest of Kirkuk Northern Province Sunday evening, a source from Shiwan police told KirkukNow.

"The girl, 20, was found dead at their house in Quli Beg village with a bullet in her body," the police source anonymously told KirkukNow. "It was suicide yet the investigations will be carried out."

The lady was receiving treatment for cancer since two years and one of her legs were amputated "which made her desperate and pushed her to commit suicide," he added.

The family told police that due to her sickness, she was so desperate and they believe that was the reason behind her commitment of suicide.

The incident is coincident with a series of death cases in the disputed territories and neighboring Kurdish region during the last two days.

On April 17th, in Khalkhalan settlement of Shiwan sub-district, a man shot dead his uncle, meanwhile his father-in-law. Sulaimaniya police said he was arrested in Chamchamal district.

Commenting on murder of a 21-year-old lady and mother of three kids in Erbil, capital of the Kurdish region, the Prime Minister PM of Kurdistan Regional government KRG Masrour Barzani tweeted, " I’m appalled by yesterday’s brutal murder of a young woman in Erbil. There is no honor in “honor” killings; it is murder, sets us back, & must end.

On Sunday evening, a woman was arrested for stabbing her husband to death in Sayid Sadiq district of Sulaimaniyah.
